My name is Benjamin Davidoff and I am a 7th grader preparing for my Bar-Mitzvah. Part of my preparation is to formulate and execute a project to better society – my Bar-Mitzvah project. I decided to raise money and collect sneakers for children who come from lower income parts of our society to ensure that every children has the opportunity to have adequate shoes to protect their feet. I want to put a spin on my project. Not only do I want to raise money and collect shoes, but I want to provide these children with not just shoes, but cool shoes – “kool kicks”. I am fortunate to have parents who provide me with sneakers for all of my activities (baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, and tennis), and I am lucky that they are really nice ones. Therefore, my goal is to be able to provide children with “kool kicks”, so they do not feel left out and feel different from the other children in their school. My goal is to raise $18,000 and collect as many shoes as possible.

Please help me provide children who come from less fortunate situations feel good about themselves and get “kool kicks”.  I ask you to make a donation, either a financial donation or pair(s) of shoes (only those that you would want your child to wear) for these children. Please do whatever you can: send shoes, donate money, volunteer your time….just support my Bar-Mitzvah project.  Whether you give a dollar, a pair of new Nikes, or a case of kool kicks, everything helps!

A few of my father’s friends have generously donated bottles of wine for those who make a $1000.00 or more contribution. Get a bottle of Dakota Shy’s Social Currency, Oakville East’s Harter Family Double H Cabernet, Vineyard 7&8 Estate Cabernet, Correlation Wine Company Cabernet, or Nine Suns winery Cabernet.
